Dark Moon in Taurus 2017

The Dark Moon in Taurus connects us to our sense of groundedness. Being grounded is to feel calm and centered amidst chaos. It’s about being fully present in your body while also being fully aware of your surroundings.

Being grounded is to feel your feet kissing the Earth, gently caressing the body of the Goddess. She supplies us with an abundance of nourishment, for the body and the soul. Think of the different kinds of soil we encounter in our lives. The rich dark loams, red ochres, sand, rocks and gravel, clay and mud. We connect to them directly every day, with our feet with each step we take, and with our hands as we plant, dig, play, or sculpt.

All soils nurture, whether it is the local flora, or our own beings. Gaia nourishes us through Her bounty. She nourishes us energetically as well. As you walk,  visualize roots extending from the bottoms of your feet,  reaching down, down, down, deep into the rich dark earth. Draw energy up and let it permeate throughout your body. Be conscious of every step, practice the art of mindful walking.

We live in a symbiotic relationship with Mother Earth.  She nurtures us, and, as Gaia’s children, it is our duty to protect Her, cherish Her, love Her. We do this through conscious living.

Select one sustainable activity that you can do every week to help the planet, something that you know you can commit to once a week, and do it.

Think of one thing a month that you can do, remember, you only have to commit to doing this once a month, every month.

Finally,  choose one activity that you can commit to once a year. All it takes is commitment, each of us doing our small part.

Honour our Mother, She who has birthed you, She who nurtures you throughout your life, and She who will embrace you in death.

Dark Moon Blessings
