Samhain – Season of The Crone

At Samhain, the Veil between worlds is thin, an ideal time for communing with the ancestors. We cannot but think of death and dying at this time of year, as the world around us prepares for the long dark months ahead. We can call upon the ancestors for guidance, have the conversations with loved ones we could not have while they lived, or simply sit in silence, honouring them with gratitude.

Some refer to Samahin as the Witches’ New Year, a momentary pause for reflection, to give thanks for blessings received, to mourn the losses we have experienced, and to set an intent for future healing work. Samhain marks the ending of a cycle, and the beginning of a new one. We honour this time of year by reflecting on who we are, and who we wish to become.

Samhain is a time to look  honestly at ourselves, to acknowledge our darkness, and to access our truth. One way to do this is through divination, as we can easily move between realms, and are more receptive to the messages of spirit.

Seek out The Crone to guide you on this journey. She is here to offer Her wisdom, to direct you on the path, and to shine a light upon your true self.
